The Importance of Bile

This of course is in regards to health.

My husband is BIG on well-balanced health, so he is always finding new things he can put in practice. In listening to his many explanations I tend to feel compelled to do the same, because after all he is just trying to help...

One day he came home and started talking about why bile is so important!

Some reasons:

  1. A good amount of bile is a sign of healthy liver functioning (among other things it removes toxins from body)

  2. Helps with digestion (so I won't feel so bloated all the time)

  3. Maintains good cholesterol levels (it does run high in my family)

  4. Helps process fat (yeah...)

  5. Helps with some types of acne (MY FAVORITE REASON because I have been struggling with this)

What is a healthy way of creating more bile? He recommends more water and bitter foods like asparagus, and turmeric.

Oh yes, bile is a fluid made in our gallbladder that helps with digestion by breaking up the fat.

I know this definitely does NOT paint the prettiest of pictures but it does make sense. It is important to get the bad stuff that makes us unhealthy out of our bodies... and sometimes it can be hard to do that. So I have been doing my best to drink even more water! Half my body weight in ounces. (weight= 150, 1/2 of that= 75, 8 ounces in a cup = about 9.5 cups!)

Do you value bile or other strange and very significant things?

Here is a link to a video where he got some of his information: Digestive Enzymes: The Hidden Dangers
